Terms 1 and 4 (Summer)

Practices take place at two venues in North Canterbury. A College van will transport players on Wednesdays.

Boys need to be able to trot and canter with confidence.

College teams play in the Canterbury and South Island Schools’ Polo Tournament in March and December. There is also a College vs Old Boys match in November.

Uniform: Riding boots, trousers and College rugby jersey

Recent Success

2025

  • Opened season with a commanding 6-2 international win
  • Went undefeated in group stages of the SUPA campaign and narrowly tied in the final after extra time
  • A-grade team won the final SUPA tournament convincingly, 5-1

2024

  • Part of the championship team at the final tournament of the season at Waireka Polo Farm
  • Two members of the national School Squad, named by New Zealand Polo

2023

  • Two players selected for the NZ School Team to tour Boston
  • Two players selected for the SI U21 team to play against NSW in NSW, Australia
