Terms 1 and 4 (Summer)

Tennis is one of the major summer sports at College, with teams in each division of the Canterbury Secondary Schools Wednesday competition.

Boys practice at the Te Kura Hagley Park Tennis Club under the guidance of the Te Kura Hagley clubs professional coach and his team. All tennis players have access to these coaches. The top tennis squads train at Wilding Park under the guidance of Canterbury coach Matt Meredith.

The Senior A team participates in provincial, South Island and national school championships. Top junior tennis players also have opportunities to play in annual interschool fixtures against Otago Boys' High School.

  • CSS Senior Championships – Senior singles and Year 11 doubles title
  • SISS Team Championships – Runner-up
  • CSS Junior Championships – Year 9 singles and Year 10 doubles titles, runner up in Year 10 singles and Year 9 doubles

2021

  • CSS Team Championships – 1st place
  • NZSS Team Championships – 5th place
