Terms 2 and 3 (Winter)
College cyclists compete in the Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Cycling Championships, which are held on Wednesdays. At the end of Term 2, they compete in the South Island Secondary Schools’ Championships and during winter tournament week travel to Blenheim for a two-day event.

2024
- National Champions:
- Two students claimed national titles in the Criterium for their age groups.
- One student became the National Champion for the Individual Time Trial, while another placed second in their respective age group.
- Southern Tour Results:
- First and second place in the U15 category for the Criterium.
- First place in the U15 Road Race.
2022
- SISS Road Championships – U20 team won a bronze in time trial
- SISS Road Champs – 1st U16 road race and 2nd in time trial

Coach
Craig Oliver has been a mountain-bike racer since age 13, climbing to World Championships-level. Winning national and Oceania titles, competing in six World Cup seasons and five World Championships, and wearing the black and white jersey in XCO (cross-country Olympic), Craig has also raced Enduro internationally, finishing in the top 50 in two rounds of the Enduro World Series. Most recently, he has won the New Zealand Marathon Championships and NZ Cyclocross Championships, followed by a 5th in New Zealand’s most prestigious distance road race, the Tour of Southland. Craig has also been a guide and coach at the Christchurch Adventure Park. He is most passionate about the growth of mountain biking in New Zealand and helping young people to develop not just their bike skills but themselves through cycling as a sport.
