Overview
Our international students are important members of our community, strongly contributing to our College culture. They are valued by their fellow House members and enrich our school in so many ways – both academically and through their involvement in a multitude of co-curricular activities.
Each boy brings something special to College life – through their culture, knowledge, and approach to learning. In turn, we take our duty of care of each boy seriously, supporting our students to be at their best. Our pastoral care approach is designed to ensure that every boy feels safe and welcome while developing a sense of belonging within our community.
We strongly believe the best education focuses not only on academic achievement, but also on the development of character strengths and wellbeing.
Houses
For each international student, their House will become one of the most important places at school – a place where they find their band of brothers within the wider College community. For boarders, their House will become their home away from home.
A Housemaster and other House staff are there to support international students throughout their time at College. They will get to know each boy well, and provide help and advice about all aspects of College life, as well as any other matters that affect student wellbeing. In addition, each international student will be assigned to the care and attention of an Assistant Housemaster who will assist with goal planning and monitor each boy’s progress.
We encourage our international students to get involved in House activities. By becoming an active and enthusiastic member of a House, international students form amazing friendships, gaining the confidence to step out of their comfort zones and try different things, while developing their sense of self and personal strengths.
