Digital Services Technician

Christ's College is offering a full time Digital Services Technician position. This is an ongoing role. The commencement date is flexible for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated their abilities to manage competing priorities and a busy workload.

Key tasks:
  • College digital services help-desk operations
  • Classroom and venue AV
  • Digital services asset administration
  • Hardware and software management
  • Telephony systems
  • Projects and security
The successful applicant should have the following skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Office365 and Google suite
  • Demonstrated organisational ability
  • Desire to provide high quality service
  • Minimum of two years experience in maintaining and configuring a variety of operating systems including OSX, Linux and Windows
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional discretion
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new concepts

Christ's College Counsellor

We are looking for a compassionate and caring counsellor t o join our pastoral care team. This is a full-time, ongoing position, to commence as soon as possible or by negotiation.

The college counsellor will take a lead role in the school’s pastoral care network, working closely with the director of wellbeing and positive education and accountable to the deputy principal, who oversees all aspects of pastoral care. This significant role balances the ongoing development of wellbeing and positive education initiatives at the college with providing a high-quality counselling service for students and their families, and training sessions for teachers and house staff as required.

The ideal candidate should have school-based counselling experience, be passionate about the health and wellbeing of young people and have an understanding of the particular needs of boys living in a residential community. They must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to relate to many different people from a range of cultural backgrounds, a positive and friendly 'can-do' attitude, and a professional approach at all times.
