Just what the doctor ordered
Josh Ting (15049) is passionate about the next generation of doctors.
After graduating in 2018, the 20-year-old headed west, to Griffith University on the Gold Coast where he was accepted into their competitive medical programme. Next year he will transfer to the University of Melbourne School of Medicine, the highest-ranked medical school in Australia.
Josh recently returned to College as part of the Old Boys' mentor programme to share his wisdom.
Inspired by his own experience Josh talked to a small group of students, ranging from Years 11–13 about the opportunity of studying medicine abroad in Australia. In his presentation, Josh encouraged the boys to consider the many different pathways into medicine, and not limit themselves to New Zealand programmes.
The boys that attended found the presentation insightful and inspiring.
