Weather thwarts skiers at Mt Hutt

26 Aug 2022

Poor conditions and low visibility impacted badly at the annual Canterbury Secondary School ski championships at Mt Hutt.

The weather delayed racing and the day ended with skiers only able to complete one of their two runs.

Tom Picton-Warlow, Dom Botherway and Tomas Coberger finished as the fastest College skiers from the 70 starters. Tom was 2nd overall, Dom was 4th and Tomas 6th with JJ Wada finishing in 8th place.

Overall the three leading College skiers produced the fastest combined team time to win the title from Mt Hutt College by 4 seconds.
