Time to take a bow

Oliver Jones, Remy Fitzgerald and Oscar Gosling finished Term 1 with a flourish, receiving their Honours Ties for Drama at the school’s final assembly on Thursday 25 March.

Director of Drama Hannah Clarkson said all three had made outstanding contributions to College productions.

“Ollie has been front and centre – we have seen him as Hermin the frog, Troy in High School Musical 2, and Magaldi in Evita last year. He is a triple threat on stage as he can sing, move and act up a storm, and we look forward to seeing him in a comic role in next term’s senior production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It.”

Remy Fitzgerald was an outstanding theatre technician who has been involved in almost every possible area, including lighting for Lord of the Flies and The Frogs, sound for House Plays and stage manager for High School Musical 2.

“He has stepped up into leadership roles at every opportunity and is taking on responsibility of overall stage management for the senior production of Oedipus Rex.

Oscar Gosling has been memorable in House Plays, and junior and senior productions.

“He has managed to play an incredible array of characters so far, and is an intelligent performer – focused, committed and willing to help others. We look forward to what might come this year.”
