The Duke would be proud

Year 13 Henry King became the first College boy in 2022 to be awarded his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in assembly today.

He’s been working through all three levels of the coveted award since he was a Year 10 student and finally had the distinction of being presented with his Gold award by Executive Principal Garth Wynne.

Samuel Hales was presented with his Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, the first Year 11 to have the honour, while David Wayne had the distinction of being the first Year 10 student to complete his Bronze award. Others receiving their Bronze award today were Lucas Evans, Tom Hansen, George Pearse and Ashwin Thomas.

More ceremonies are expected to take place later in the year.
