Reuben Oh takes a bow at Shakespeare Festival
05 Apr 2023
Reuben Oh has won one of only two Best Performer awards at the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival held in the Middleton Grange Theatre.

Both College performances have been recognised at the regional festival.
Directed by James Burt, Reuben has been recognised for his performance in Hamlet: Act 5, Scene 2. In the scene, Hamlet (Reuben Oh) agrees to a gentleman’s sword fight with Laertes (Alex Johnston). That scene has been awarded Best Fight honours for the exceptional fencing bouts choreographed by College Deputy Principal Rob Donaldson, alongside James, and expertly executed by Reuben and Alex.
Directed by William Sudell, Othello: Act 2, Scene 3 has also enjoyed success. William’s decision to set the scene in a dystopian future where the world has fallen apart and anarchy reigns has secured an award for Best Aesthetic, acknowledging the barren stage, bare feet, and ruined army attire.
