Mihi whakatau for new boys

New boys and staff to Christ’s College have been welcomed with a traditional mihi whakatau (official welcome speech) – featuring a whaikōrerō (formal speech), haka, and waiata (song) – on The Quad.
Welcomes were offered or accepted on Wednesday morning by Wiremu Puanaki, Dallas Seymour, and Executive Principal Garth Wynne. Following the welcomes, boys and staff attended a special Chapel service in the Assembly Hall and enjoyed kai on The Quad.
