Old Boy Hanson Xie (15536) has won a place at the National University of Singapore (NUS), majoring in Electrical Engineering.

Hanson, who left College at the end of 2021, has also been selected for the prestigious new NUS honours college. NUS is ranked No. 11 in the QS World University Rankings for 2023.

In the last year of his course, he can choose to specialise in different domains, such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy and robotics.

Hanson says he wants to study at NUS because “I believe I can learn about one of the most modern and cutting-edge technologies in the field of advanced electronics”.

“It is also one of the pillar industries of Singapore. In the future, I would like to become an electronic engineer, specialising in semiconductor and/or integrated circuits.”

Hanson describes his time at College as a “unique experience”.

“There’s no doubt that the improvement I’ve obtained from the past three years has played a vital role in the university application. I’m really grateful for that.”
