All-in approach to Corfe House mural
A colourful new mural featuring the Corfe House performance at the House Music Festival now adorns the main wall of the Years 9 to 10 common room.
Created by Year 13 artist Oli Aikawa, the mural – titled All in – captures the “diverse bunch of Corfe students in full voice and giving it a go” at the festival this year.
“I wanted to reinvigorate the Corfe boys to remember what our House stands for – that everyone steps up and takes part. It’s all about our House spirit,” Oli says.
“I have been inspired by Old Boys who have left their mark on College and continue to show how making that extra effort can have a far-ranging impact on our younger boys.
“I am looking forward to seeing the boys’ faces as they see the mural for the first time.”
A few months in the planning, the two-metre-by-four-metre mural has taken two days to paint during the school holidays.
