Art on the Quad

16 Oct 2017

Two works – Myopia and Acquiesce – by Anton Parsons, one of New Zealand’s leading sculptors, have been installed on the Quad as part of SCAPE Public Art 2017. We invite you to come and have a look.

Forged in metal, and both featuring patterning in braille, these impressive sculptures explore ideas about distance and perception, inviting us to think about different ways to perceive and interpret the world.

Anton Parsons graduated from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 1990. Now based in Auckland, his work is held in public and private collections throughout New Zealand.

SCAPE 2017 runs from Saturday 7 October to Friday 10 November. Find out more @SCAPEPublicArt
