A strong bond of friendship

Executive Principal Garth Wynne, his wife Annie, and Japanese teacher Steve Everingham had a wonderful few days at the centenary celebrations of Konan Boys’ High School, Kobe, Japan, in April.
Joining members of the Kobe community and other international guests – including Dulwich College, London, Master Dr Joseph Spence and St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, Brisbane, Principal Dr Michael Carroll – they enjoyed the best of Japanese hospitality, including fine dining, entertainment, and opportunities to mix with current Konan students.
Garth and Steve delivered a presentation about College, Steve gave a singular – and impressive – demonstration of the College haka, and all the international guests helped plant a tree in the school grounds as a permanent, living reminder of this memorable occasion.
