Outstanding Christ’s College scholars

College 2023 leavers Lachie Short and Oliver Glossop have been named Outstanding Scholars by NZQA and Angus Gifford has achieved seven Scholarship subjects.
Of the 35 Scholarships awarded to College students, four are at Outstanding level.
Both Lachie and Oliver will receive $15,000 over three years for tertiary study in New Zealand. Lachie has achieved an Outstanding Scholarship in Health and Physical Education and History, along with Scholarship in English, Statistics, and Media Studies. Oliver has achieved Outstanding Scholarship in Chemistry and Physics and Scholarship in Calculus.
Angus has achieved Scholarship in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Geography, and Religious Studies. Sean Jang has achieved Scholarship in Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus. Both Matthew Brett (Biology and Chemistry) and Joel Fulford (English and Design and Visual Communication) have gained two Scholarship subject awards in 2023.
In total, six Scholarships have been achieved in Chemistry, including one Outstanding Scholarship, four in Biology, and three in Physics, including one Outstanding Scholarship.
Seven Scholarships have also been achieved in English.
