Royal Commission of Inquiry
As you know, the wellbeing and safety of students and staff at Christ’s College is our highest priority.
You will no doubt be aware of the Royal Commission’s Inquiry into what happened to children, young people and vulnerable adults in State and faith-based care in Aotearoa New Zealand between the years 1950–99. The Commission may also listen to survivor experiences before and after these dates.
Christ’s College fully supports the work and purpose of the Inquiry. We are committed to acknowledging and apologising for historical abuse of anyone within its care, to providing redress, and to reviewing policies and procedures to prevent any potential recurrence.

If you have concerns or experiences that you want to share, we have made an external appointment of Mark Wells as an Historic Complaints Facilitator to manage and oversee the complaints process. Mark is social work qualified and manages claims of abuse in care on behalf of a number of organisations. This includes disclosure interviewing and resolution.
You can reach Mark directly via email at m........@xtra.co.nz or mobile +64 225 109084.
If you would like to speak to College directly, please feel free to contact Board Chair Hugh Lindo at r.@christscollege.com or Executive Principal Garth Wynne at e.................@christscollege.com or +64 3 364 6811.
