Rylind Wheeler makes massive splash
Triple gold medallist Rylind Wheeler has put in a stunning performance at the South Island Secondary School Swimming Championships in Dunedin.
The sole College representative, Rylind has won gold in the 100m Individual Medley, and the 50m and 100m Breaststroke. Racing in six events overall, he has also set three personal best times in the 50m Fly – taking home the silver medal – and the 100m Backstroke and Freestyle, when claiming bronze.
Remarkably, Rylind – a Year 9 Jacobs House student – has powered College to 9th out of the 19 men’s teams at the championships, held at Moana Pool.
