Record swims by Christ’s College students
College’s star swimmers, Rylind Wheeler, Luke Manderson, Mun Chi Jager, and Justin Wang, have set record times at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Swimming Championships at Jellie Park.
Rylind and Luke have claimed individual records in their 15 years events and combined with Mun Chi and Justin to set a record for the 200m freestyle relay.
In the open section, Rylind has also won the 100m breaststroke, while Mun Chi has finished 3rd in the 100m butterfly and Luke 3rd in the 100m backstroke.
To cap the day, Rylind, Luke, Mun Chi, and Justin have won the open 200m medley relay, and Rylind, Luke, Mini Chi, and George Zhang have won the open 200m freestyle relay in outstanding efforts against older opposition.
