Entrepreneur in the making

11 Nov 2020

Necessity is the mother of invention they say.

Following COVID-19, Year 10 student Will Bretherton saw a gap in the market for face masks in the Christ’s College colours.

The idea was conceived for his Economics project and Will has now made 50 masks as part of the project. 10% of all profits will go towards the IAMHOPE foundation, to support mental health, which has become an increased issue throughout this pandemic.

“If the first 50 go quickly, I’m keen to make more and perhaps even do them for other schools to sell in their uniform shops. The hardest thing was threading through the elastic but it filled in the time when I was going up to the Sounds with my family recently,” Will says.

The masks retail for $15 each and can be purchased by contacting wbbretherton@student.christscollege.com.

Thank you for supporting this great initiative.
