College bowls out CBHS in Gillette Cup
College was in fine form on Saturday, with the 1st XI scoring 224/9 to secure an impressive 44-run win over Christchurch Boys’ High School in the local Gillette Cup Semi-Final.
To cap off the victory, the top College cricket side now holds both the ARA Trophy (for Canterbury region 1st XI grades) and the Heathcote-Williams Shield.
Rob McClean and Ciaran Huntley were in devastating form, taking 4/16 and 3/28, respectively, as CBHS was bowled out for 180 runs – with more than seven overs to spare – at its home ground. Tim Seeto also impressed with four catches. For College, Caleb Manson was the top scorer with a stylish 63, followed by a solid 39 from Monty Rookes.
