College bands upbeat for Rockquest

Two College bands have won through to the next round of Smokefree Rockquest.
Held at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre on Saturday, the Christchurch heats have attracted 72 bands from across Canterbury, including eight from College.
Year 10 band Bar Fights – featuring Albie Anderson, Max Hao, Tomas Coberger, and Benson Geng-Wang – have impressed the judges with an original work, Obsession. Year 11 band Rain on Jupiter – featuring Max Topham, Archie Whithear, Tom Rawstron, Nick Sharr, Darcy Laidlaw, and Hugo Sudell – also have made an impact while performing an original song, Get it back.
Both bands will record a video clip of another original song as they target a spot in the regional semi-final and final.
