Christ’s College wins teams title race at Mount Hutt

Christ’s College has been in flying form at Mount Hutt, winning the Canterbury Ski and Snowboard Championships teams titles.
Seb Gray has proved to be the fastest skier of the day, recording 45.55 (across two runs) to claim the individual title, with Josh Brown (47.64) 3rd, Freddie Gorman (49.28), 4th, and Gabe Botherway (51.46) in 8th place to make the top 10 and carry home the team trophy for the 22nd time, including 15 consecutive victories.
In the snowboarding competition, Christ’s College has also secured the team trophy, powered home by impressive displays by runner-up Tawhai Anglem (59.96), 3rd placegetter Oscar Kobayashi (1:01.18), Kiki Anglem (1:05.63) in 4th spot, and College debutant Joe Langley Shields (1:12.01) 10th.
In an outstanding day of teamwork and top performances, Christ’s College skiers and snowboarders have again delivered premier runs in good conditions. The mix of seasoned racers and enthusiastic newcomers reflects the strength of both sports at Christ’s College.
