Ben Crawford puts pedal to metal for medals

Year 11 cyclist Ben Crawford has raced to gold, silver and bronze at the South Island School Road Championships at Ruapuna Motorsport Park.
Ben has claimed individual gold in the U16 boys’ road race – winning in 32:07.81 – and silver in the U16 boys time trial in 4:39.21.
He has also joined forces with Thomas Audeau (Year 12), Henry Hiatt (Year 10), George Rookes (Year 12), and Sam Hales (Year 11) to snare bronze in the U20 team time trial. It is a remarkable achievement as Ben, Henry and Sam are all U16 riders.
