Ben Crawford and Riley Crampton pedal to medals

Star cyclists Ben Crawford and Riley Crampton have geared up to race away with all the titles – including two national titles each – at the 2023 Skoda Southern Tour schools cycling event.
Hosted by Cycling Marlborough, the tour features the country’s top young cyclists. Both Ben and Riley have won all four of their respective age-group events – the individual time trial, criterium, hill climb, and road race – and the tour jerseys (general classification, sprint, and hill climb). Impressively, both the criterium and the time trial are national title events.
A Year 12 student, Ben has taken the honours in the U17 grade while Riley, who is in Year 9, has taken control of the U15 competition. Will Crawford and Oscar Talbot have also performed well in the U16 and U17 grades, respectively.
