A Night of talent, tradition and House pride

26 Jun 2026

The 87th Christ’s College House Music competition delivered another memorable celebration of talent, House pride and community, with Jacobs House claiming the Christ’s College Parents’ Association Overall House Music Trophy after an outstanding evening of performances in the Christchurch Town Hall.

The annual Parents’ Association House Music competition once again showcased the incredible musical ability, creativity and spirit of College students, with every House taking to the stage in pursuit of House Music honours.

One of the biggest talking points of the night came when the staff band took to the stage with a spirited rendition of 500 Miles. It had the entire Town Hall singing and clapping along, creating a fantastic atmosphere and highlighting the way music brings the College community together.

Congratulations to all students, staff and House leaders whose hard work and commitment made the evening such a success.
