Inspirational chamber music

Talented young violinist, Year 9 student Justin Hodges, is through to the semi-finals of the national NZCT Chamber Music Contest.
Justin plays in the Korngold Quartet with violinist Juliette Ruiqin Ma and cellist Maggie Ruihong Ma from Burnside High School, and pianist Samuel Woosol Jeon from St Andrew’s College. Music teacher Nick Coxon described the group’s performance as very polished and says it is an outstanding achievement to get through to the next level of the competition.
From hundreds of ensembles nationwide, only 12 make it through to Finals weekend in Wellington, with semi-finals on Saturday 5 and finals on Sunday 6 August.
