A promise made to College

8 February, 2017
At a special Chapel service on Friday 3 February, in front of their families and fellow students, our 2017 Prefects were officially inducted into their new roles.
In his homily, Chaplain Bosco Peters discussed the nature of service – emphasising the ideal of the servant–leader, someone who seeks first to serve, to enrich the lives of others, build a better organisation, and create a more just and caring environment.
Executive Principal Garth Wynne then invited the prefects to come forward and make their promise to the school. On behalf of them all, Head Prefect Ben Marshall-Lee pledged to fulfil loyally the duties and responsibilities of prefects and to always endeavour to uphold the good name of College. Mr Wynne then presented each prefect with their two prefects’ ties and the book Leadership by Example by Dr Sanjit Chopra.
After the service the prefects, their parents and invited guests enjoyed morning tea in the Boardroom, hosted by Mr Wynne.
