A night to remember

18 Sep 2019

Always one of the highlights of the year, the Senior Ball was held in the Assembly Hall on the evening of Saturday 14 September. For the hundreds of guests – Year 12 and 13 students, their partners, and teachers – it was all about fun, fine food and the opportunity to dance the night away to the beats of a College rock band, plus jazz ensemble and DJ.

Organising the ball is one of the key responsibilities of the Deputy Head Prefect – and Max Heywood couldn’t be happier with the way things went. “It was awesome, a bit stressful, but so much fun. Everything about it was cool.”

Max says it was as a result of the genius of performing arts and events technician Grant Bennett, who modified the floor and handled technical aspects of the “production”, and the vision of Matias Biraben-Clough, who took responsibility for decorations, that the Assembly Hall was transformed into such a perfect venue. He would also like to thank his hard working committee, the Dining Hall, lead sponsor Archibalds and everyone else who contributed to making it such a memorable night.
