Farewell Bosco, welcome Cameron
Christ’s College has a new Chaplain – the Rev. Cameron Pickering, formerly Assistant Priest at Christ Church Transitional Cathedral and an experienced history, geography, and social sciences teacher.
Cameron started as Chaplain at the beginning of Term 1, succeeding long-term Chaplain Bosco Peters who retired at the end of 2021.
To mark the CCOBA’s long association with Bosco, a specially commissioned embroidered stole, made by Elizabeth Kimberley, was presented to him at his farewell lunch. The stole features the crests of each of the 10 Houses, which are embroidered onto the bright red silk fabric. It was designed to be a fitting memento of Bosco’s time at College.
Watch out for Cameron Pickering, who is an avid cricket fan. In fact, he was spotted last year supporting play at the Valley of Peace CCOBA/Christchurch Boys’ High School Old Boys annual fixture.
