I joined Richards Boarding House at the end of year 11 in 2014. Having just come from a small international school in Switzerland, boarding took some time to get used to, but every day I have discovered more opportunities where I could follow my interests and be a leader to other boys.
When Year 10 student Luke Zhou moved to Christchurch in 2015, there was no question about where he would go to school. “My parents had friends with a son at College. They told us it was a really good school.”
Solomon Li wanted international experience, so went to an agent in his native Hong Kong to research educational opportunities abroad. He immediately liked the look of Christ’s College.
Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Year 10 student Homare Nakajima has been at school in New Zealand for the past five years. He came to Christ’s College at the beginning of 2016.
From Wenzhou, south east China, Year 11 student Sean Li is now happily settled in his second year at Christ’s College. Sean came to College at the suggestion of his uncle, who had lived and worked in New Zealand
Nitit is the Founder/Consultant Director at A+ Image, a company which specialised in image consulting and personal branding. He also held a position as Organisation Development Director at Jaroonrat Group, a leader in automotive industry in Thailand, which was founded by his father.
Tomohiro ‘Tomo’ Harada
Tomo left Christ’s College in 2007, having won numerous prizes during his time at the school for academic achievement, sport and citizenship. He received our top award for service within his boarding house, in his final year.
Yulong ‘Jimmy’ Liang
Jimmy applied to Cambridge University, and graduated in 2012 with a BA in mathematics. He then worked as a personal assistant to one of the visiting scholars at the Hoover Institution and Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Centre, Stanford University, where he was fortunate enough to meet and have a photo with Professor Condeleezza Rice, formerly USA Secretary of State.
